The results of joint working alongwith “Shabri Seva Samiti” since 2004 for getting rid of malnutrition in & around adivasi pada, has paid rich dividend. In 2010, as govt. authorities declared & gave Karjat Taluka a “Malnutrition Free Status” So in 2011, NPSS has decided to work jointly alongwith, Shabari Seva Samiti in getting rid of or to Eradicate Malnutrition in Dhadgaon & Akkalkuva Tehsil of Nandurbar District, where 80% children are malnourished. Our objective is to provide supplement diet to 300 children & 100 pregnant ladies every month & to admit sick children to Dhule, Shahade & Nandurbar Hospitals
Distribution – Jalvardhini Prathishtan
Every year Samiti has donated of Rs. 10,000/-for the distribution of bottles of chemicals like chlorine for water purification in Raigad district. Jalvardhini Pratishthan has undertaken the project for storage of water & providing of pure water at Karjat Taluka. It was observed by the Pratisthan that due to this help, good improvement was noticed in child health.
Medical Help to Meghalaya – border area
Seva Bharati runs a medical service in Guro Hills, Meghalaya for the benefit of poor patients in that area. The Seva Bharti was finding it difficult to hire services of a doctor for the project due to financial constraints. Since August 2007, Nana Palkar Smruti Samiti has undertaken the responsibility of offering a salary of Rs.10,000/- per month to the concerned doctor. Since then according to the reports from Seva Bharati, an uninterrupted medical help to the local population has become a reality.
